Associate Editor Application 2024/2025

• Associate editors are responsible for reviewing and selecting submissions (along with a team of 6-8), copyediting, and working with authors to ensure their piece is ready for publication in Goose Fiction. 

Illustrator Application 2024/2025

• Illustrators are responsible for creating a black and white illustration for 1-2 stories in Goose Fiction. See past examples in the “Past Issues” tab.

Layout Editor Application 2024/2025

• The Layout Editor/s create the design and format of Goose Fiction’s physical and/or digital journal publication. Experience with InDesign is preferred.

Communications Manager Application 2024/2025

• The Communications Manager handles email correspondence, manages social media accounts, and keeps the website up to date

All positions are relatively low commitment. Formal experience is not necessary, but all roles require a high level of interest in editing, illustration, or design.

Editorial Board members are prohibited from submitting short fiction pieces to the journal.
