Sabina is a fourth-year student majoring in English and Philosophy. In her free time, she likes to try new coffee shops, watch horror movies, go hiking, and stroll around museums. When she was little, her and her sister were convinced a goose named Larry was secretly following them around.

Athen is a fourth-year student pursuing a specialist in Architecture with minors in English and Visual Studies. Although she hasn't had many encounters with wild geese, they hold a special place in her heart thanks to Mary Oliver's poetry.

Simona is in her fourth year, specializing in English. This is her fourth year with Goose. When she's not reading for her classes, she can be found reading on her own time! As a child, she was less than proficient at Duck Duck Goose.

Daniyah is in her third year specialising in Finance and Economics.  In her free time, she enjoys playing co-op games like It Takes Two. She loves to read, especially horror and mystery books. When she’s not reading, she spends her time playing with her cat Loki! She is very excited to read everyone’s stories.

Mackenzie Johnston is a third-year student completing an English Specialist with a minor in Medieval Studies. This is her second year on the Goose - in her spare time, she is an avid potter, and also enjoys baking, writing, and reading. She is looking forward to this year’s submissions!

Tamara is a second-year student in Book and Media Studies, and she is actually terrified of geese. This is her second year editing with Goose Fiction! In her free time, she stress-bakes bread, reads mediocre rom-coms, and tells people to wear SPF.

Cedric is a third-year student majoring in Criminology and Political Science with a minor in English. When he’s not huddled away in Robarts trying to catch up on his readings, he’ll generally be going about the city to explore its parks and neighbourhoods. His favourite grocery store is called Lucky Moose, and he likes to think that a Lucky Goose exists somewhere out there.

Lily is a second-year student majoring in English, with a distinct interest in both writing and editing fiction. This is her first year being an Associate Editor, but she has had her work published by Goose before. Other hobbies of hers include curating playlists, watching rom-coms, and reading literary fiction novels.

Emma is a first-year humanities student. She believes that stories are magic and loves to fill her days with as much of them as possible! She also loves watching old movies and making playlists for all occasions!

Elaine is a third year student in Immunology and Health and Disease and the Head Illustrator for Goose this year. She really enjoys drawing with vine charcoal, and loved creating illustrations for short stories for Goose last year. She is excited to read and draw more this year!

Biew Biew is a second year history student at Vic college. When she’s not panicking and procrastinating over her latest assignment, you can find her animatedly gesticulating about her latest TV or movie hyperfixation (recent watches include Good Omens, Shadow and Bone, and Scott Pilgrim Takes Off). Challenge her to a game of Super Smash Bros or a Hades Speedrun, it will totally be fun! P.S Just don’t let her pick Cloud or Chiron’s Bow…

Kasia is a first-year Life Sci illustrator-Varisty writer here to bring your creative ideas to monochrome life! You can find her walking across campus at odd hours of the day, excited to see whether something will catch her interest may it be a person, leaf, or bug. She is fearless about geese, but probably only because her friends pull her away before the goose exacts its unimaginable goosey fury upon her. She is very excited to collaborate with you! Mio is a third-year student majoring in Sociology and double minoring in Human Geography and Creative Writing. She's usually listening to music, soaking up the sun, or hanging out with friends. When she has time (usually in the depths of the night), she likes to make ink drawings. She loves birds (including geese of course) and is excited to join the Goose Fiction team!

Naomi is a first-year English student who, despite her fear of real geese, is thrilled to be working on the Goose team. She loves to write and make art in her free time, and is so excited for the opportunity to illustrate and work with UofT’s creatives this year.

Zo is an English, Psychology and creative writing student in their third year. In their free time they love to draw, write, read and lament about random green characters. They especially love dogs (though they love cats almost as much) and obviously geese. This is their first year at Goose and they are so excited to illustrate.

Char is a part-time undergrad in the Art History major, with minors in East Asian Studies and Contemporary Asian Studies. When she’s not studying, working part-time jobs, or committing to too many extracurriculars, she’s probably starting a random art project she won’t finish. When Char first attended elementary school in Canada, she had to commute by walking through a football field with a herd of aggressive Canadian Geese and their fecal waste. Every day for two years, she ran away from them as they honked and chased her while she was trying to get home or go to class. She misses them very much and hopes they’re doing okay. Char is graduating this year, and is excited to see what the Goose accomplishes this year!

Sophie is a first-year humanities student who wants to major in Philosophy and Cinema Studies. This is also her first time working with Goose and she can’t wait for all the submissions! She likes movies, poems and has a special love for rock n’ roll. Her favourite poem is Corona by Paul Celan, which writes: 

“We love each other like poppy and recollection,

we sleep like wine in the conches,

like the sea in the moon's blood ray.”

JoJo is a first-year social science student hoping to pursue law and real estate in the future. She is a part-time dance teacher but is currently on break because of how chaotic UofT schedules are. In her free time, she enjoys playing video games and watching Netflix/Disney shows. She is really excited to be a part of the Good Fiction team this year!
